busy weekend..
This weekend has shaped up to be a busy one around our house. First, I am leading worship for a Kirk of the Hills family camp over at New Life Ranch tonight and tomorrow. I have my work cut of for me leading “This Little Light of Mine” and “Every Move I Make” camp style. Tonight is also the Springdale Vs. Har-Ber football game. I should be able to make it to the second half. Then… tomorrow, our family from Texas is up visiting and we need to make time to see them from 11-3ish, then a quick stop at New Life on our way to Tulsa. Chad, Bobby, Joe, and I are leading the contemporary service at the Kirk of the Hills while Ryan and the gang are out leading at another camp. We’ll spend the night somewhere in Tulsa and lead two services before hitting some food and driving back to Springdale. I should be pretty worn out by that point and will just want to sit and watch the finish of the Tour Championship.
I am rarely away from the Grove Church, but when I am it’s complicated. A lot of my work during the week and on Sunday is focused solely on the worship gathering. So, when I am gone I need to make sure all my ducks are in a row and that media / sound / etc.. is in good hands. I have been learning to let that go a little bit and find times when I can be away on a Sunday. It’s hard for me as a semi-perfectionist, but it’s taken me realizing that it’s not the end of the world if someone is late on a light fade or music cue.
We continue to await the arrival of baby Miller. I am continually amazed at the work God is doing within Jaime. The whole pregnancy has been a realization that God is an amazing Creator and I am in awe that He would let us have this baby grow inside of Jaime. We will be 37 weeks on Sunday. We think we have our two names figured out, but you will have to wait until baby is here to find out.

we never win anything.. until now..
So our friend Brian from Arizona is getting married soon to a really neat gal that we have both yet to meet. She is an artist and designer and was giving away some really cool prints on her website. We entered the drawing and guess what? well.. you’ll just have to watch.. highlight of my week..

a little re-design
It is in process, but I like the start of this look. Can you believe we have been blogging since May 2004. I have been running jasonandjaime.com since 2001 when we got engaged. Check out the archives on the right to look back at our move from Phoenix back to Arkansas. 4 years flies by so fast.

Saltillo update
Jason here updating the blog from my comfy bedroom at Mary’s house. The window is open and a nice cool breeze is blowing through the room. I am taking a break from classes today to catch up on some projects and get organized for my next week. I think the high today is around 80 with about 50% humidity. That equals great feeling weather. I will take bus 3 to the university later today to meet up with Jaime. We are staying on the square tonight and exploring more of Saltillo tomorrow. I had no idea that the population is 725,259 here and that the elevation is 5,200 feet. We tried to bowl last night but got denied because of league night. It’s hard to believe that a town of 3/4 million only has one bowling alley with 20 lanes. I guess it’s not a popular sport here. We ate dinner at small joint called the Alamo where a friend of a friend was playing guitar then headed back to Mary’s to head to bed. I’m sure Jaime will post some pictures of our adventures on Sunday.
